Honest Images. Real People. Stories that Work.

I’m a portrait photographer and visual storyteller with a background in photojournalism—and a lifelong curiosity about people and their stories.

My career has taken me from the boardrooms of Boston to the bottom of a coal mine in Vorkuta, Russia. I’ve studied Russian, reported for The Moscow Times, embedded with the U.S. Army Reserve in Iraq, and lived and worked in Korea and Japan. Before that, I grew up on an Arizona cattle ranch, learning early the value of grit and hard work.

Whether on factory floors, in farm fields, hospital wings, or C-suites, I aim to create images that reveal truth, character, and connection. My work is informed by my photojournalism roots, but I use every tool—light, composition, stills, and video—to create visuals that have impact.

I live in Portland, Maine with my wife, Beth, and our son, Max. When I’m not photographing for clients, I’m often hiking or working on personal projects, including Baring Scars, a deeply personal series documenting men’s stories of living with cancer.

If you need portraits or visuals with a message, let’s work together.
